Brief outline of the game

Turn-based strategy game in which the country of Grand Chien is thrown into chaos when the elected President goes missing and a paramilitary force known as 'The Legion' seizes control. Players control a mercenary team hired to save the country.

Content specific issues

This game contains scenes of graphic violence. Shots to the head can cause decapitation and explosions of bloody chunks. It is also possible to direct violence towards vulnerable and defenceless characters, including unarmed hostages. Throughout the game the player is also be forced to choose to spare or kill some key characters whilst they are defenceless, which affects the ending of the game. General combat also features strong bloody violence, with characters recoiling from bullet impacts, which result in blood sprays. This game contains frequent use of strong language ('fuck' and 'motherfucker').

Other issues

There is a brief verbal reference to a character taking their own life. The game also features a location which is a brothel. There is no visible nudity or sex, although there is innuendo about what goes on there.

Brief outline of the game

Strategic role-playing game in which you pick your squad of mercenaries and use them to free the civilians that are being held prisoner and forced to manufacture a drug called ‘Bliss’.

Content specific issues

Violence is typical of the Jagged Alliance series and varies in its realism. There is a scene in which 4 unarmed civilians are being held in cages by the enemy soldiers. If you do not free them in time, they are executed by the enemy. Offensive language includes the words ‘bitch’, ‘dipshit’, ‘fuck’, ‘fucking’, ‘motherfuckers’, ‘piss’, ‘pissed’ and ‘shit’.

Other issues

One of your mercenaries is a functioning alcoholic and requires you to provide them with alcohol to increase their Rage level and improve their accuracy and focus.
