Brief outline of the game

A month after the end of Trails of Cold Steel, Rean has escaped with Valimar. After making it to his hometown of Ymir he discovers Princess Alfin has been kidnapped along with his sister Elise. The rest of class VII has scattered over the country and, after being given the airship Courageous by Olivier, Rean must go around gathering them and other Thors students to help civilians and look for Alfin and Elise.

Violence is pretty mild with players engaging in turn based battle scenes against human and fantasy characters. Players are armed with both weapons and magical abilities, and graphical injury details are not depicted during battle scenes. However, there are some scenes throughout the game where non-playable characters are depicted lying dead in puddles of their own blood. Such scenes may be horrifying to younger audiences.
