Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 7 because it features mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy or mythical beings and creatures, and pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children. Not suitable for persons under 7 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Japanese role-playing sequel, in which the player takes on the role of a courageous Monster Rider, befriending local monsters, traveling the world and protecting your village.

Content specific issues

Violence occurs both during turn-based game play and during narrative cut scenes. Violence during game play is unrealistic, as are reactions to it. Damage is indicated by reductions in health bars but without any visible injury detail. Violence is similarly unrealistic in the narrative cut scenes, although some scenes show monsters attacking buildings, with a suggestion that human-like characters may be inside. The monsters can be large and menacing and may be scary to younger children.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items in the form of cosmetic items, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.

Brief outline of the game

Top-down 'hack-and-slash' game, set in a post-apocalyptic world which has been overrun by zombies and monsters. Up to four players, representing the last humans alive, must fight for survival.

Content specific issues

This game includes fighting between the human protagonists and hordes of zombies and monsters. The violence is cartoon-like and unrealistic. Zombies and monsters have health bars that deplete when they're hit. When enemies are defeated, they disappear in a puff of smoke, leaving behind pizza slices that can restore the players' health. When the player characters are hit, numbers indicate the damage sustained and the characters occasionally say "Ouch!", although no injury is shown. When the player is defeated, the character drops to their knees and then either respawns or is revived by another player in multi-player mode. Some of the 'boss' monsters, including dragons and giant centipedes, may be scary to younger children.
