Brief outline of the game

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires provides an alternative look on the events depicted in Samurai Warriors 4, using the historical landscape as a setting for an exciting strategy-focused game. Players have the opportunity to create their own character and set up a game that starts them off in the lower ranks of the army and allows them to gradually progress to rule the entire land through their conquests

Content specific issues

The opposing armies’ soldiers are always deployed in large numbers and in close proximity to each other, so when the player’s character attacks them with a sword etc., large numbers of characters will be hit. The characters react to the hit by being moved an unrealistic distance from the point of impact. Once they land on the ground they immediately disappear from view. There are no visible signs of injury. The use of a character’s signature weapon will cause an even greater number of characters to be killed, however the violence is no greater than that seen before.
