Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 7 because it features non-realistic violence in a child-friendly setting or context and mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy or mythical beings and creatures. Not suitable for persons under 7 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Cartoon-style shooter game in which squid-like characters battle using ink weapons.

Content specific issues

This game features mild and unrealistic violence in which cartoonish human-like and fantasy characters shoot at each other using ink. Characters flash when hit, with exaggerated and unrealistic reactions, and then disappear or pop when defeated, with no visible harm.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of an expansion pack, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.

Advice for consumers

This game was rated PEGI 7 for violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy or mythical beings and creatures and for non-realistic violence in a child-friendly setting or context.

Brief outline of the game

A shooter in which the player is hired by an agent and has to defeat villains with ink blasters. The characters (inklings) can turn into squids, to move faster in their own ink. The villains are mostly squid like creatures but also robots or other inklings.

Content specific issues

The violence in this game is unrealistic. When the characters are hit with ink multiple times they explode into splashes of ink. The game is set in a very colourful, cartoony and therefore child friendly setting. The only available weapons are ink blasters or paint rollers.

Other issues

Some of the bosses look evil but the general atmosphere of the game never gets scary. Characters use expressions like: “Oh carp!” and “This sucker’s not messing around” but no actual swearing.
