Brief outline of the game
Sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, in which Captain Price and Task Force 141 face-off against the ultranationalist war criminal Vladimir Makarov as he tries to extend his grasp across the world. The game contains a single player campaign, multiplayer battles, and a zombie game mode.
Content specific issues
This game features strong and realistic violence, including blood spurts from bullet impacts. Shotgun blasts at close range may result in more graphic injuries, including decapitation and dismemberment with copious blood. Incendiary weapons can result in characters being engulfed in flames, with sight of burned bodies afterwards. There is a scene in which multiple innocent characters are executed in a stadium, and it is possible for defenceless prisoners in a jail to be shot. In another sequence, the player is able to shoot a hostage. Batman also holds down and interrogates a man as he threatens to run over the man's head with his Batmobile. Latest instalment in the Yakuza franchise of Japanese action games in which the player takes on the role of a former yakuza who has given up his past and adopted a new identity. He finds himself entangled as a key figure in an elaborate conspiracy surrounding a power struggle within the Omi Alliance, an Osaka-based yakuza group.
Content specific issues
Violence during gameplay is generally non-realistic in nature but violence during cinematic scenes is stronger, with characters reacting realistically to being stabbed and shot, with some blood effects. One scene features slaves dragging a carriage. The slaves are whipped, causing them to moan and cry in pain, with cuts and lash marks visible on their backs and some sight of blood spraying up. In another scene an enemy character who has been left for dead in a burning building is repeatedly stabbed. The game also contains depictions of simulated gambling.
