Brief outline of the game
Role-playing game in which players must fight against an ancient evil that has returned to Baldur's Gate.
Content specific issues
The strongest examples of violence occur during cut scenes. These include a scene in which a human character is tortured on a rack, while a hot poker is also applied to his body, causing him to scream in pain. Another scene shows a human-like character strapped to a chair with his brain exposed. The brain is then ripped from his head. Violence within gameplay features blood spurts, which are occasionally exaggerated in nature, particularly when stealth attacks are made from behind a character. There is infrequent use of strong language ('fuck').
