Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for persons under 18 years of age. This rating has been given because it features graphic violence, violence against vulnerable and defenceless characters, and use of strong language.

Brief outline of the game

Survival-action shooter game, set in the fictional rural city of Silver Creek, in which players take on the roles of a group of agents tasked with uncovering a mystery.

Content specific issues

Violence during gameplay features characters being shot or hit with explosives. Impacts from gunshots result in a reduction in health, with the character dying once their health runs out, while explosions result in immediate death. However, there is no sight of blood and little sight of damage during gameplay. The game's cutscenes feature more realistic violence, including a tied-up male character being questioned and then hit using a hammer, with blood spray. Other characters are forced to dig their own graves before being shot. There is also use of strong language ('motherfucker', 'fuck').

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items - in the form of a Battle Pass, cosmetic items, gameplay consumables, time savers, and other exclusive content - which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.

Not suitable for persons under 18 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Sole survivor among 32 Ghosts sent to investigate the Auroa archipelago, Skell Tech's drone-filled project of World 2.0, the player must fight the Wolves, a dark elite corp led by a former Ghost gone rogue and restore peace to the island. The game is a military-themed open-world shooter featuring co-op, PvP and survival mechanics.

Content specific issues

This game contains depictions of gross violence towards human-like characters. The most pertinent examples of this can be seen in the execution style moves the player can inflict on enemies. Characters are often grabbed from behind and then stabbed multiple times in the chest, neck or face killing them instantly. This game also contains depictions of violence towards defenceless human-like characters. There are two scenes which feature torture on a character who is restrained. In both examples the victims are inflicted with pain in an attempt to gain information for them. The characters react realistically to the pain by screaming in pain and shaking. This game also features motiveless killing of innocents. The most pertinent example of this can be found in a cutscene where a group of people blow up a building full of innocent civilians. The explosion is shown from the outside of the building. However, victims are then shown running out of the building screaming and on fire. This game also contains frequent use of sexual expletives. The word “fuck” and its derivatives can be found throughout.

Brief outline of the game

GEAR UP. SAVE DC. You are a member of the Division, an elite group of civilian agents charged with being the last line of defense. With DC at risk, it's time to gear up and use your unique skills to take on this new threat. This is a shooter RPG with campaign, co-op, and PvP modes.

Content specific issues

The gameplay is a mix of open world shooter with survival elements in which the violence is predominantly regarded as moderate and there are sustained depictions of death caused through the use of contemporary military weapons (firearms and explosive devices), although there is no dismemberment. The enemy combatants are similarly equipped, however they also have the use of a great many combatants equipped with flame throwers. In use they will cause a character to be set alight and loud screams are heard with the associated thrashing of arms and legs, there is however no visible damage to the flesh and clothing of the character. The worst of the violence which can occasionally be seen during gameplay and cut scenes are those in which characters are tied up and placed in the kneeling position and shot or stabbed. There is no opportunity for the character(s) to run away. Game also includes the use of sexual expletives and offensive language such as the word ‘fuck’ and its derivatives.
