Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for persons under 18 years of age. This rating has been given because it features violence against vulnerable and defenceless characters, motiveless killing of innocent characters, sexual threat, and use of strong language.

Brief outline of the game

Real-time strategy game, which takes place on the eastern front during World War II. Players can play on their own or in online co-op.

Content specific issues

This game contains depictions of the motiveless killing of multiple innocent human characters. A number of missions take place against the backdrop of the Holocaust. One scene takes place in a forest in which innocent civilians and prisoners of war are taken to a pit of human bodies. The characters are then lined up and executed by firing squad. Another mission takes place in a concentration camp. Large numbers of human bodies can be seen throughout the map, including piles of corpses. Human bodies can also be seen hanging from gallows. Crying and screaming can be heard in the background throughout the mission. In addition to these stronger moments, there is also realistic violence during gameplay, with characters screaming in pain when hit by weapons and explosives, with sight of blood. Defeated characters fall to the ground and remain visible for the rest of the mission. The game also contains sexual threats. During one mission a female prisoner is continually threatened with rape by her captors, including with use of strong and crude sexual language. There is frequent use of strong language ('fuck' and 'cunt').

Other issues

From the main menu the player can access ‘War Diaries’, which are short war documentaries which feature real-life footage of events during World War II. This includes footage of the Holocaust and other wartime tragedies.

Brief outline of the game

Role-playing game, set in the dark fantasy world of Sanctuary, in which the player's character unwittingly comes upon a town which has succumbed to the machinations of Lilith and must stop the forces of evil from taking over the world of Sanctuary by fighting the demons and enemies in their path.

Content specific issues

This game contains infrequent depictions of graphic violence towards human-like characters. The most notable examples occur in the games cutscenes, in particular a scene in which a man is being eaten alive by wolves. His skin is torn off his back while he screams and whimpers in pain. Strong blood effects and injury detail are present, including a dismembered finger which is spurting blood onto the floor. Another cutscene depicts a man being lifted into the air by an unknown force and then his limbs being snapped and broken. Violence during gameplay is less strong but does include realistic impacts, sight of blood, and characters limply falling to the floor. Gameplay violence is shown from a distant top-down perspective. There are gory images, in the aftermath of violence, including sight of decaying and mutilated bodies.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of an in-game currency which can be spent on a battle pass and cosmetic items, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items. The game also features some bad language, including 'bastard', 'bloody' and 'shite'.
