Waifu Uncovered is a vertical shoot’em up in which players must rescue their “waifus” from a space alien invasion. There is a minimal amount of story in the game. The player’s task is to undress women, so they can destroy their clothes, which are deeply infected with a fatal virus.

This game contains depictions of strong sexual nudity. The player takes control of a small spaceship and fires at alien creatures of various designs which are covering the body of a female character. Throughout the course of the mission, items of clothing on the woman are destroyed and vanish from her, leaving large sections of skin exposed. By the end of the mission the woman’s breasts and genitals are often fully exposed to the player. Throughout the mission the camera focuses in on areas such as the woman’s nipples and genitals.
