Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features graphic violence to fantasy characters and prominent use of alcohol. Not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Co-operative first person shooter in which players work together to fight through a cave system filled with deadly enemies.

Content specific issues

This game features graphic violence against waves of alien characters. Smaller aliens explode immediately and disappear, but larger aliens take longer to defeat, with pieces of their bodies being shot away before they explode into chunks and green liquid. There is a bar in which alcoholic drinks can be consumed, including beer. In-game benefits can be acquired through drinking alcohol, although if the player's character drinks to excess, this results in unsteadiness, dizziness and blurred vision.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of DLC packs featuring optional cosmetics. Some parents or carers may want to be aware of this. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.

Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for persons under 18 years of age. This rating has been given because it features graphic violence, violence against vulnerable and defenceless characters, motiveless killing of innocent characters, and use of strong language.

Brief outline of the game

Action role-playing game, set in the ninth century, in which an orphan with a tragic past flees Baghdad after an act of retribution and joins an ancient organisation.

Content specific issues

Some cutscenes include finishing moves which feature elements of graphic violence, such as a bladed weapon being thrust and twisted into a person's neck, accompanied by large amounts of blood and agonised sounds. This is shown in close-up. General gameplay violence features sight of blood when characters are struck. When their health bars expire, they fall to the ground and remain visible in a pool of blood. The game also contains infrequent depictions of the motiveless killing of innocent people, who will scream and try to flee but can be caught and killed. There are also depictions of violence towards defenceless human characters. For example, during an interrogation, a character is seen seated on a chair with his hands bound behind his back as he is punched. The game includes use of strong language ('fuck').

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items - in the form of maps, weapons and costumes - which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items. At one point, there is sight of child thieves who have been hanged, although the hanging is not shown.

Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 3. Suitable for all ages.

Brief outline of the game

Racing game with a strong focus on user-generated content and collecting. Players compete in car races on the traditional Hot Wheels orange track pieces and can also create and share their own tracks and vehicle customisations.

Content specific issues

Cars can bump into each other or be destroyed during elimination races. However, the toy cars are always clearly empty with no humans inside. There are 'boss races' in which players must destroy targets that represent the boss' lives. The boss, however, is simply a large animatronic toy which fizzles with electricity when defeated.

Other issues

This game has received a PEGI 7 because it features non-realistic violence in a child-friendly setting or context, mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy or mythical beings and creatures, and pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children. Not suitable for persons under 7 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Adventure sequel to The Smurfs - Mission Vileaf, in which the Smurfs and Gargamel must work together to track it down and capture a magical creature.

Content specific issues

Players encounter various fantastical enemies throughout. These enemies can be defeated by shooting at them with a gun called the Smurfomix. Characters don't give any indication of pain or injury when hit or defeated, simply disappearing in a puff of black goo. The game's villain is a rather large and intimidating creature that some young players may find scary. It has a low, booming voice and must be fought multiple times. There's also an area in the game that has a spooky atmosphere, including flickering lamplight and a giant, creepy scarecrow.
