Brief outline of the game
Remastered version of the role-playing game in which the player's character joins a rebel organization in their quest to stop a world-controlling mega corporation from draining the life of the planet for use as an energy source. This version features both classic and new stories.
Content specific issues
This game features frequent non-realistic violence towards human characters. Attacks are accompanied by non-realistic slashing effects or brightly coloured magic effects. Damage is indicated with numbers. The game also features some disturbing images. For example, one cutscene depicts the aftermath of a battle, with sight of dead creatures, some of which have been impaled. There is use of bad language, including 'bastard'.
Other issues
This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of an in-game currency, which can be bought using real world currency. This currency can then be used to enter draws in which random items can be won, such as weapons and other items of different rarity. The chances of obtaining each item are shown. The new story in the FINAL FANTASY VII remake project, a re-imagining of the original game into three standalone titles by its original creators. In this game, players enjoy various new elements as the story unfolds after escaping from Midgar, culminating in the party’s journey to The Forgotten Capital.
Content specific issues
This game contains depictions of graphic violence to fantasy characters. One scene depicts a character being captured, dragged and restrained on a table in a surgery room. The character is then branded with a laser while it struggles and cries out in pain. There is also strong and realistic violence to humans. During cutscenes, the player sees the antagonist stabbing, slashing, and killing humans and others on multiple occasions. Large amounts of blood are shown in these scenes, with some injury detail.
Other issues
There are references to suicide with some characters seen walking off bridges to their death.

Remastered version of the 2008 action combat game in which players take on the role of Zack Fair, who is on a mission to find a missing soldier.
Content specific issues
Violence during gameplay is generally non-realistic, with the protagonist using a sword to strike at human characters who fire back using rifles. Enemy characters disappear when defeated and the player's character falls to the ground when his health is depleted. Boss characters react in a similar manner to the player's character. Cutscenes feature more realistic and sustained violence, including realistic responses to hand-to-hand combat. In one scene the protagonist is run through with a sword but managed to fight back and attack the swordsman.
Other issues
The game also includes some bad language, including 'shit', 'asshole' and 'bastard'.
