Brief outline of the game

Open-world action-adventure role playing game, with an emphasis on stealth and combat, set in Viking era England.

Content specific issues

This game contains frequent depictions of graphic violence towards human-like characters. Powerful attacks with weapons can cause decapitation or dismemberment. Blood flows from wounds and severed limbs are seen lying on the floor after they have been cut off. When a concealed blade is used to assassinate an enemy, it is shown inside the victim’s body as it slices through and pierces various organs. The game also contains infrequent depictions of motiveless killing of innocent people. There is a section of the game in which the player must pillage a town. A number of the humans the player encounters are innocent men and women who can be killed indiscriminately. A large number of these characters will scream and try to flee. However, they can still be chased and then killed. The game also features depictions of violence towards defenceless human characters. There are multiple examples of humans being tortured or killed whilst they are restrained and unable to escape. There is also frequent use of strong language ('fuck' and 'cunt').

Release Dates & Platforms:
  • Nintendo Switch - 13/11/2020

Advice for consumers

This game is rated PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for anyone below this age. This rating has been given due to strong sexual nudity. Not suitable for persons under 18 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Waifu Uncovered is a vertical shoot’em up in which players must rescue their “waifus” from a space alien invasion. There is a minimal amount of story in the game. The player’s task is to undress women, so they can destroy their clothes, which are deeply infected with a fatal virus.

Content specific issues

This game contains depictions of strong sexual nudity. The player takes control of a small spaceship and fires at alien creatures of various designs which are covering the body of a female character. Throughout the course of the mission, items of clothing on the woman are destroyed and vanish from her, leaving large sections of skin exposed. By the end of the mission the woman’s breasts and genitals are often fully exposed to the player. Throughout the mission the camera focuses in on areas such as the woman’s nipples and genitals. Targets are also placed over these sections of their body to emphasize those areas. The women can be heard occasionally moaning and gasping as the battles take place. All of the women are depicted as still images which do not move, and the player has no interaction with them beyond shooting the alien creatures on their body.

Content specific issues

Violence in gameplay is very bloody, often with exaggerated blood splatters. Strikes with swords result in limbs being severed. Blood remains visible on surfaces after characters have disappeared. However, the violence is not presented in a realistic manner and reactions to violence are also unrealistic. When the player's character is struck, a brief sound is made but the character continues to fight without any apparent injury. When the character is mortally wounded, there is a small amount of blood splatter than the character sinks to the floor.

Other issues

There is infrequent use of bad language ('piss').

Content specific issues

Violence is frequent but non-realistic, as are reactions to it. The worm characters never show any injuries or damage, although they do let out high pitched yells when struck. Damage is indicated by a health bar, which simply reduces each time characters are hit. One of the weapons that can be used is a 'Sheep Launcher', which launches sheep which then explode.

Release Dates & Platforms:
  • PlayStation 4 - 15/11/2020

Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features glamorisation of crime, strong violence, sustained depictions of violence towards human characters and use of strong language. Not suitable for persons under 16 of age.

Brief outline of the game

Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is the prequel to the TV show. Become the mastermind in this puzzle-adventure game by pulling off increasingly complex and perfectly synchronized plans.

Content specific issues

Most of the violence depicted is sustained and is limited to fist fights. Each hit causes a recoil response from the character which is accompanied by some blood splatter. At the conclusion of the fight, the defeated character falls to the floor and remains in view. There is the infrequent use of the sexual expletive ‘fuck’ Regarding the glamorisation of crime, there are many incidents in which a crime is proposed, carried out and tangible benefit is derived from the crime. An example is the theft of champagne from a rival gang, the intended purpose being to supply a celebration in honour of the Peaky Blinders. Much comment is made at the event of how they have gained respect amongst the attendees being able to drink expensive champagne.

Other issues

There are references to Opium but no depictions of the drug being taken / used.
