The majority of enemies in the game are fantastical, such as walking, gun-wielding bullets and jelly-like blobs. Enemies will either fall to the ground or disappear when killed, and very occasionally there is a red splatter effect. The four playable characters are all blocky, non-detailed humans. When they are struck, they’ll flash and lose a life but carry on. When their lives run out, they will freeze and a cross-hair will centre on them; as a shot rings out, their head will fly back and they fall to the ground, but there is no sound of pain, blood or visible injury.
