Brief outline of the game

Role-playing game in which players assume control of a high school student who is drawn into an alternative version of Tokyo which has been overrun by demons.

Content specific issues

Most of the violence during gameplay is non-realistic in nature, with characters' health reducing when they are hit, after which they simply vanish. Stronger depictions of violence occur in the cutscenes which follow turn-based combat. These include sight of a character using its pointed tentacles to pierce the bodies of other characters, causing red 'energy' to be released. The game also features occasional use of strong language ('fuck').

Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features depictions of realistic looking violence towards humans and use of strong language. Not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Role playing game in which players make their way through a post-Apocalyptic Tokyo, which is now populated by human survivors, demons and other creatures.

Content specific issues

The game's cutscenes contain infrequent depictions of realistic looking violence towards human-like characters. In the most notable example, a human-like character is held up by a fantasy creature. The creature squeezes the victim's head, which is then crushed. This results in a splatter of blood, although the hood the character is wearing obscures any further detail. Violence during gameplay is milder and less realistic, with bright lights and magical effects appearing on impact and damage being indicated by points. Characters occasionally let out cries of pain but injuries are not shown and defeated characters vanish immediately. There is infrequent use of strong language ('fuck').

Other issues

There are some verbal sexual references, for example to creatures sleeping with women. There are also some visual sexual references, including suggestively shaped demon characters.

A special task force sent by the United Nations to investigate the Schwarzwelt, a spatial distortion that appears in Antarctica and threatens to engulf the world.

Content specific issues

The game features the use of a turn based combat system, in which the player's characters can use either a sword, magic, or a gun to fight opposing forces comprised of fantasy characters. Each successful hit will result in an unspecified hit point, and culminating in the character disappearing from view. Violence towards human characters which is seen in the 3rd person is partially animated, when hit they will disappear momentarily and then reappear on the ground in a pool of blood. The violence is non-realistic. There is a small amount of sexual innuendo in which the characters allude to sexual encounters and ‘performance’. There is also the use of offensive language such as ‘piss’, ‘son of a bitch’ and mild swearing 'shit' and ‘bastard’.
