Content specific issues

Initial gameplay sees the player’s character having to survive with scant resources and needing to fend off wild animals such as boar, wolves, bears and werewolves. Once the player is equipped with an item that can be used as a weapon, defence against attacks is then possible. The severity of violence is governed by the type of weapon used. Wooden stakes and clubs will slowly cause damage to an animal, which is indicated by a reduction in the animal's health gauge. By contrast, a firearm will hasten the animal's death. However, there are no blood effects When human characters are encountered they will relentlessly attack the player’s character. Any damage to the player is displayed as a reduction in the health gauge. When a human character is killed, they fall down and remain in view for a short period before sinking into the ground and disappearing.
