The Wild Eight is a survival action-adventure set in the frozen wilderness of Alaska. Explore the mysterious land, craft weapons and fight to live another day.

Initial gameplay sees the player’s character having to survive with scant resources and needing to fend off wild animals such as boar, wolves, bears and werewolves. Once the player is equipped with an item that can be used as a weapon, defence against attacks is then possible. The severity of violence is governed by the type of weapon used. Wooden stakes and clubs will slowly cause damage to an animal, which is indicated by a reduction in the animal's health gauge. By contrast, a firearm will hasten the animal's death.
