Advice for consumers

Brief outline of the game

Visual novel horror game, told from the perspective of a male high school student who joins the school's literature club in an attempt to woo one of its four female members. What starts as an apparent dating simulator develops into a story of obsession and psychological horror.

Content specific issues

This game includes a graphic scene of violence in which a character takes their own life by repeatedly stabbing their chest with a knife. Although the animation is minimal, the sequence is protracted and disturbing, with the character continuing to speak while covered in their own blood. Suicide and self-harm are key themes in the game. In one sequence, a character is found hanging by the neck from a noose, although the moment of death is not shown. There are multiple verbal references to suicide, including a disturbed character encouraging other characters within the game to take their own lives. This is shown in the context of the character's obsessive and aberrant behaviour and suicide is not glamorised or normalised. There are references to self-harming behaviour, including cutting. The game also features use of strong language ('fuck'), as well as milder terms.

Other issues

This game also includes some sexual references.
