Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features sustained depictions of violence. Not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

A retelling of the anime, 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba', in which Tanjiro faces demons in order to rescue his sister and turn her back from a demon into a human.

Content specific issues

The player's character must battle against both human-like and demon characters, using a sword and other abilities. Blows result in flashes of light and characters moving exaggerated distances. There are occasional spurts of blood, as well as reductions in health. When defeated, characters fall to the ground where they may disintegrate. Cut scenes include stronger violence, including a sequence in which it is implied that a character is decapitated, although the process of cutting is not shown. After the violent act, the severed head is seen and continues to speak. There are no pain noises, blood effects or gore. In another scene, a character holds a sword to his own neck but the scene cuts away before anything is shown.
