Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features sustained depictions of violence towards human characters. Not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Futuristic free-to-play co-operative shooter, set in a world overrun by rogue technology that has brought civilisation to its knees. Players take on the role of a human 'Runner' who must deploy with their squad, or fight alone with help from their tame non-human companions, the Novas.

Content specific issues

This game contains scenes of sustained depictions of violence towards human characters. The game takes place in a large-scale war-like environment, with combat featuring the use of both firearms and melee weapons. Guns used at long range show little effect but blood appears when shots are fired at closer quarters. Melee combat is more violent and realistic, producing more substantial blood effects than firearms, with blood splashing out on each swing of weapons such a machetes, axes and baseball bats. Combat against fantasy characters is less realistic and does not feature blood, although damage is indicated using numbers and health bars.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of a Battle Pass and an in-game currency that can be bought using real world currency. Some parents or carers may want to be aware of this. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items. In-game purchases include randomly selected items - such as draws to win weapons, cosmetics and other items - where players do not know exactly what they are getting prior to the purchase.

Advice for consumers

This game was rated PEGI 12 for frequent violence towards human characters, mild swearing and horror scenes. Not suitable for persons under 12 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Point-and-click Adventure. Amnesiac Michael must decode the inexplicable chain of natural disasters and ensuing pandemic which have brought the world to the brink of collapse.

Content specific issues

Characters in the game are shot and punched, but the realism of this violence is curbed by the game’s style, which features angular 2D characters, largely static backgrounds and minimal animation. Horror scenes include an infected boy shaking and crying out as his skin starts to blister and melt away, leaving a sinewy corpse and then just a puddle of blood. There are also images of a mutilated corpse and a hospital full of dying patients. The game features frequent mild swearing and offensive language including ‘bitch’, ‘bastard’, ‘whore’, ‘prick’, ‘shit’ and ‘godammit'.
