Survival game in which players control a wizard with a gun who must turn back time and restore the world after it's overrun by dangerous creatures called Chaos.

This game features mild violence. Players can use guns and bullets to defeat fantastical enemies. Characters flash when hit, with a reduction in their health. Enemies simply disappear when defeated, with no visible injuries or blood effects. If the protagonist is hit, the edges of the screen turn red. When the protagonist is defeated, the screen turns black with the caption, 'You have died', after which players respawn. The game's intro scene features the player's character being hit by a tentacle, although there are no visible injuries.

The characters in this game are heavily pixelated. The game is filled with fantasy characters. The only human you’ll encounter is your own character and the shop keepers. Although the shop keepers cannot be attacked. Enemies flinch when hit by your spells, displaying the number of hit points lost by your attacks. When defeated, they disappear and leave behind some money. The council member bosses show an animation when defeated. They don’t die, but transport to a safe place, outside of the arena. They show no indication of pain or suffering. Your own character, when defeated falls to its knees. You’re warped back to the city to stock up on new spells and items, ready to re-try the trial.

Magicka: Wizard Wars is a fast paced action game that utilizes the dynamic spell casting system of Magicka, tasking players to form teams of four and blaze their way across the battlefield together.

Game features the use of bladed weapons and magical spells. When used against a character (human or fantasy) they invariably cause the character to be covered by a cloud of blood. In addition there are occasions when indeterminate 'chunky bits' are ejected from the cloud of blood. This all disappears quickly leaving no trace of the character.
