Advice for consumers

This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features strong and sustained depictions of violence. Not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Compilation of remastered versions of the games, Commandos 2 and Commandos 3, which place players in charge of elite Special Forces deep behind enemy lines during the Second World War.

Content specific issues

This game features strong violence, including hand-to-hand combat, use of bladed weapons and use of explosive devices such as grenades and mines. Impacts result in blood effects, while the use of explosive devices can cause characters to be flung exaggerated distances but without any sight of gory injuries.

Other issues

Enemy troops are sometimes seen smoking and packets of cigarettes may be acquired, although they cannot be used by the player's character. The player can distract other characters by throwing a bottle of wine towards them, which causes them to sway from side to side once they've drunk the contents. Again, the wine cannot be consumed by the player's character. The game also includes use of bad language, including 'shit' and 'bastard'.

Brief outline of the game

Relive two masterpieces, originally developed by the legendary Pyro Studios, that defined the real-time tactics genre like nothing before, re-imagined in full HD and bundled together for the first time ever!

Content specific issues

Violence seen during Praetorians gameplay is predominantly non-realistic looking and sustained, fallen troops quickly transform into skeletons which then litter the battlefield, realistic violence only appears during cut scenes. In the game Commandos 2, the violence depicted is a mixture of realistic and sustained depictions of death. This is mostly seen in hand to hand combat which involves using bladed weapons or fists or from a distance using firearms, the use of explosive devices such as grenades or anti-personnel landmines will cause a large flash of light and smoke and result in characters being flung an exaggerated distance, there is no dismemberment etc. In all instances there are some blood effects, but this is very fleeting and small in quantity.
