Advice for consumers

The game was rated PEGI 16 for sustained depictions of death and injury towards human characters and the use of sexual expletives. Not appropriate for persons below 16 years of age.

Brief outline of the game

Control British troops in battles against WWII enemy.

Content specific issues

This game is about war and consequently the violence ranges from soldiers killed by use of firearms to a debilitating injury caused by explosive devices resulting in soldiers crawling around the battlefield. At the more graphic end of the violence, as a result of an explosion, soldiers can lose limbs thought even when shot at by a tank at close range, dismemberment does not always occur. Whenever it does occur the dismemberment is not realistic looking, soldiers are thrown unnaturally into the air, whilst at the same time body parts become detached. There are some blood effects when the explosion happens, but this quickly dissipates leaving a red stain on the ground. The use of flame throwers will cause the death of a character although there is no burning/charring of skin or clothing. There is the frequent use of the sexual expletive ‘fuck and derivations of the word.

Other issues

The game features online playing capability which may involve real-time interaction with other players.
